holy crap! I am glad I am not in your shoes!
Yeah, it's one thing after another!
I don't know where you get your skates/wheels from, but there's a fantastic skate shop based in Las Vegas which caters directly to Derby girls. It's sincityskates.com, they've got some pretty stellar prices. Their wheels, I think, are the best pricing as far as all of that goes.

I don't know what kind of pads you use, but I'm currently using some Pro-tec park pads, they're pretty stellar because you can replace the caps.

Also, as far as wheels go, I personally go for left wheels, orange.
yeah, I love sin city skates, they walked me through my second skates purchase and ensured that I got a wonderful pair of skates that actually fit! And don't cause me blisters! They're who I'm going to order my wheels and pads from. I love the orange pusher wheels, but after my first season mine are currently bald. I think I'm going to get the black fugitive/orange fugi combo since we'll be bouting on super-slick concrete this season. For kneepads I tried out a 187 and a rector fat boy at practice and I'm trying to decide between the two. The rector was more cushiony, but the 187 didn't slide around and has those replaceable caps you mentioned. decisions, decisions...
